About
Thank you for your faith and commitment to Jesus’ commission to “go make disciples of all nations.” God truly gave us an incredible, spiritual, diverse church. Yet we always strive to take his vision for unity deeper. I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. John 17:23
Over the last year and a half, the BCC Social, Cultural and Diversity (SCUAD) has been hard at work and is now excited to bring you People of All Nations: a Christ-centered, biblically based unity in diversity training course.
This program will progress through 3-2hour discussions of how we can better achieve God’s dream of being a People of All Nations.
Those who enroll in the program will watch high quality video content on their own before they gather to discuss the materials in 2 hour large and small groups. The videos consist of history, teaching, preaching and moving testimonies from 60 different speakers from here in Boston and around the country. They are Bible-based, academic, spiritual and heart moving. All materials are in English and Spanish.
This is a “flip the classroom” model that will allow us to maximize our 2 hour discussions when we come together.
This program was produced with a tremendous amount of thought, prayer and viewpoints. Our church eldership, staff and regional SCUADs have already participated.
And now it’s your opportunity!
Video content will be available to enrollees starting November 1 and discussions will be Saturdays November 12, 19 and December 3 from 10 am to noon. We only have space for the first 60 people who enroll so don’t wait!
God has blessed us with a multicultural, multiracial church with disciples from many different backgrounds and viewpoints. We encourage each of you to participate. You’ll grow in your understanding of how to better connect with people who have different stories than you.
If you would like to know how to process and navigate crucial, sensitive and controversial topics of race and culture in a righteous way, then this course is for you!
